Brief Description

The project contributes to improving the management of mining residues from the titanium industry and related aspects of sustainable resource, land and water management, including coastal protection. Binh Thuan province serves as a reference example for applications in Vietnam and beyond. The project pursues three objectives:
- Inventory and characterisation of NORM (naturally occuring radioactive materials) residues in Vietnam using the example of the titanium industry
- Identification of recycling and disposal options for NORM residues.
- Development of elements for an integrated waste and radiation protection regulatory framework for NORM residues and their safe use in building materials.

RENO-TITAN-App
The app provides digital access to analyses of mineral raw materials that contain titanium, zirconium and rare earth elements. It supports the interpretation of the RENO-TITAN results by clearly presenting raw material data, supply chain aspects and usage contexts.
