Brief description
The doctoral research project, conducted as part of FEM POWER Vision at Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences, examines ecosystem services in nature-based Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) projects in the Global South. It focuses on the ecological and social impacts of such projects. The aim is to contribute to the scientific assessment of co-benefits, trade-offs and quality criteria for nature-based CDR measures, thereby advancing research into sustainable and equitable climate action strategies. The doctoral research is being carried out within the Ecological Engineering Research Group at the Doctoral Centre for Environment and Technology. The position is organisationally based within the Equal Opportunities Service Unit. Further information is available here.
